There are so many books and blogs about a family's experience with adoption, but what about adoption from many different families' view points. Hopefully, this site will grow to include adoptive parents in every stage of adoption, biological parents who have placed a child with an adoptive family and adoptees to provide all kinds of views of adoption.
My thought so far is that I would like to post a topic semi regularly and anyone who is interested in writing their views/thoughts on that topic can create a blog entry to go with it. I am fairly new with blogs, but I am thinking that if we create a list of topics and associate each blog entry with a topic (through labels) then if anyone else reads through they can choose to read our thoughts on specific topics. If anyone has more blog expertise and has another suggestion I am open to them.
This topic is introduction, please introduce yourself to each other and to anyone else who might be reading this. I will do a later topic on adoption, so please have this post just be a little bit about you. Also if you would label your post with "Introduction" and your position in the triad I hope it will allow for lots of different ways for people to view the blog.
My name is Sarah. The husband and I have been married for just over 4 years now and so far so good! We have far too many cats, 4, which he blames on me because I can't pass an animal shelter without bringing something home, but he said I should get two more! We have a 100 year old house that is always in need of a little TLC. We're learning to do a lot of that work ourselves with some define trial and error! Until very recently I was working full time and going to grad school in Environment and Ecological Science, but I was laid-off so that has impacted both of those.
